Valley Youth Theatre Opens SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS April 4

Phoenix, AZ -  Two weeks after its Alumni Benefit Concert, Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) presents the next-to-last musical in its 25th Anniversary Season -- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, opening Friday, April 4.

Snow White was the first show produced by VYT in 1989,” said Producing Artistic Director Bobb Cooper. “It’s one of the most popular fairy tales we’ve done and this will be the sixth time we’ve mounted it!”

This production features a dozen talented actors, ages 8 to 16. It was directed and choreographed by Molly Lajoie, who designed dance routines for VYT productions of Shrek the Musical and Seussical last year.

The geographically-diverse cast includes Jessie Jo Pauley as Snow White (Mesa), Sarah Moss as the Queen and Sara Matin as the Mirror (Scottsdale), Connor Baker as the Woodsman and William Deihl as the Prince (Phoenix); and as the Seven Dwarfs: Katie Brown (Scottsdale), Thea Eigo, Ian Gray, Charlie Siegel and Justin Vaught (Phoenix), Alexandra Kirby and Andy Wissink (Paradise Valley).

This full-length musical comedy features the Broadway-stylings of musical composer Michael Valenti with libretto and lyrics by Elsa Rael, both of whom collaborated on Ahearn & Del Valle’s Beauty and the Beast.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs April 4 through 20 at Valley Youth Theatre. Tickets are $18.00, plus service fees, and can be ordered online at VYT.com or by calling the VYT box office at 602.253.8188 x2.

As of March 31, tickets will also be available for VYT’s production of the original Broadway version of Peter Pan running June 13 through 29 at the Herberger Theater Center. Tickets start at $20 and are available at HerbergerTheater.org or by calling the Herberger box office at 602.252.8497.
