Sage Creek High School is proud to present their first ever musical – Grease.
Jim Jacobs is assisting.

January 2015 –
The Sage Creek High School drama department is excited to announce they will be producing their first ever musical Grease February 26-28th 2015. Even more exciting is that the Jim Jacobs will be assisting with this production. Jim, along with Warren Casey, wrote the book, lyrics and music for Grease. Grease became one of the longest running musicals in Broadway history, and later became a hugely successful film.

Jim assisted with casting back in December and has been coming in during the process of the production to help the development of the show. “We are incredibly lucky that Jim will be working with our department on this production. The kids are learning first hand stories of who these original characters were and the story behind the success of Grease. Plus they are getting feedback on their character roles directly from the writer. It’s really a once in a lifetime experience” –Jillian Porter, Sage Creek Drama Department head.

“I am ecstatic that Sage Creek High School chose my play to be their first ever musical. I also have to say that I am happy that the team talked me into working with them on this production. It’s been a lot of fun so far, and I am looking forward to seeing the final outcome in February. These kids are eager to learn and are a lot of fun to work with.” Jim Jacobs Sage Creek will building a brand new theatre, but it will not be finished until December 2016. The performance will be held at Carlsbad High School’s Cultural Arts Center, 3557 Monroe St. in Carlsbad.
