Poway High School presents the musical “Little Women”

POWAY, CA – Poway High School is gearing up for its production of Little Women, the Broadway musical based on Louisa May Alcott's beloved classic novel.  With a book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, the heartwarming story details the struggles, joys, sorrows, adventures, and eventual coming of age of the four March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, in Civil War era America.  As relevant today as when it was written, this timeless tale has been given new life as an exhilarating new musical filled with glorious song, dancing and a few tears. Jason Howland’s score celebrates personal discovery and a young America finding its voice and coming of age in a time of challenge and transformation.

Opening Friday February 7, the show boasts a cast of 43 energetic students featuring Jackie Foster in the role of Jo March, Lirenza Gillette as Amy March, Kaela Marriott as Meg March, Charity Monroe as Beth March, Rebecca Dhillon as Marmee, Noah Sims as Professor Bhaer, Chris Ruddy as Laurie, Trevor Haumschilt as John, Austin Thatcher as Mr. Laurence, Margaux Payton as Aunt March, and Emily Nunn as Mrs. Kirk.
