Musical Theatre of Anthem Presents Disney’s Aladdin KIDS

 

Anthem, Ariz.  July 11, 2016 – Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) announces their upcoming production of Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical based on the iconic animated film, with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice.  When the street urchin Aladdin vies for the attention of the beautiful princess Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Join Iago, Jafar, the Genie and more for a musical journey filled with magic, mayhem, and the power of love. Disney's Aladdin KIDS is sure to send audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure!     

The talented cast, comprised of award winners and nominees ages 6-11, presents the show September 15-25 in Anthem. The award-winning production staff includes Director/Choreographer Cydney Trent, Vocal Director Jamie Maletz and Stage Manager Sarah Brayer.  

“This 6-11 year old production will take audiences on a ‘magic carpet ride’, exploring the full potential within all of us," said Director/Choreographer, Cydney Trent.  “I’m so excited to take this journey with these amazing kids at Musical Theatre of Anthem!”  

Performances take place Thursday – Sunday, September 15-25, 2016 at Musical Theatre of Anthem, 42323 N. Vision Way, Anthem, AZ  85086.  Times vary, so please see website for details. Tickets may be purchased online at www.musicaltheatreofanthem.org.  Adult tickets are $19; Students, Seniors and Children 12 and under are $16.
