Musical Theatre of Anthem Announces New Theatre Performance Space

Anthem, Ariz.  March 12, 2012 – Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) is excited to announce that after four seasons of successful shows and continued growth, they have signed a lease on a commercial location in Anthem that will be transformed into their very own theatre. The 4500 sq. ft. space will be built-out and ready in time for MTA’s summer workshops in July and for all performances going forward.

“The MTA Board of Directors have spent the past several months looking at virtually every available commercial space in Anthem and we have made a final selection,” said Jeff Hammond, MTA’s Managing Director.

“Having our own theatre space will provide MTA with much more flexibility in scheduling our productions, allow us to run them for multiple weekends, and give us the ability to produce more shows and offer more opportunities to patrons and performers." The theatre will be located at 42323 N. Vision Way in Anthem.

“In addition to 10 plus shows next season, we will continue to offer audition preparation workshops, acting intensive classes, a full summer program, and additional performing arts classes and opportunities,” said Jackie Hammond, MTA’s Producing Artistic Director.

MTA produces full-scale, professional productions with multiple age ranges for shows including:  6-9, 10-12, 13-19, and 6-adult.
