A powerful witch is rejected by a selfish prince. After a curse is placed on him, he is designed to be a Beast until he learns to love.  Years later, a poor widow plucks a forbidden rose.  The Beast tells her she must live in the palace and be his slave, but her youngest daughter, Beauty, takes her place.  The Beast falls in love with Beauty, but his attempts to tell her are foiled.  True love of course triumphs in the end and everyone lives happily every after in fairy tale fashion.  The great music and story will delight audiences of all ages.
