Christian Youth Theater-Chicago's Fall Season

1. Huntley: CYT Kane presents The Jungle Book 
A young boy named Mowgli is raised in the jungles of India by a pack of wolves.  Throughout his adventures, he meets characters of all shapes and sizes: Kaa the snake, King Louie the leader of the monkeys, Shere Khan the dangerous Bengal Tiger and, of course, the beautiful young girl from the village.  Exciting songs, jungle rhythms and intriguing characters make the jungle come alive in a way like never before.  The show runs about 2 hours with one intermission. Recommended for all ages.

2. Rockford: CYT Rockford presents Great American Tall Tales 
When several young kids stumble into a dusty exhibit during a museum field trip, their adventure comes to life. Together they meet the beloved characters of American folklore like Annie Oaklee, Davy Crocket, Pecos Bill, Annie Christmas, John Henry and more. Through story, dance, and song, they learn that history is alive and vibrant while discovering that sometimes fact and fiction work together to create unforgettable legends. The show runs about 2 hours with one intermission. Recommended for all ages.

4. Des Plaines: CYT NW Cook presents Disney’s My Son Pinocchio 
Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the Toy Shop to discover what makes the "perfect child."  Audiences will love following Pinocchio's journey from awkward wooden puppet to a real, live boy and will be charmed by Gepepetto's transformation from demanding creator to a real, live father. In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community. Fiddler’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.  The show runs about 2 hours with one intermission.
