Theatre Presents “The Littlest Angel”
Children’s
Theatre of Charlotte’s Resident Touring Company, the Tarradiddle Players,
comes home for the holidays with “The Littlest Angel”, running December 7-23
in the Wachovia Playhouse. This simple, charming story continues to be a family
favorite.
The
Littlest Angel has just arrived in Heaven and simply cannot adjust to new rules
like “No swinging on the pearly gates,” and “Don’t be late for
rehearsals of the heavenly choir.” Fortunately, the Understanding Angel
arranges to bring the Littlest Angel his most prized possession from Earth: a
wooden box filled with childhood treasures. Almost overnight the Angel changes
his irresponsible ways, but it isn’t until he learns what it means to give
that he becomes truly angelic.
“The
Littlest Angel” stars the 2007-08 Tarradiddle Players company: Ashby Blakely,
Darlene Parker Black, Leslie Ann Giles, and Stephen Seay, along with Maggie
Monahan. In addition to appearances on Children’s Theatre’s MainStage, this
professional four-person troupe spreads the joy of live theatre across the
Southeast. This season, the Tarradiddle Players will travel from
Virginia
to
South Carolina
, performing in schools, community centers and towns big and small for audiences
who might otherwise never see a live play. Meet the Tarradiddle Players and hear
stories from the road at an audience talkback following the opening night
performance on December 7.
