CREST DANCE PRESENTS “ROMEO & JULIET – A HIP HOP LOVE STORY”
Romeo
& Juliet – A Hip Hop Love Story is coming to Canyon Crest Academy
High School December 4th through 6th, 2008.
Once more, the Envision Dance program at Canyon Crest breaks ground with
this entirely novel hip hop version of the classic love story based on William
Shakespeare’s tale of love and rivalry. Under
the artistic direction of Envision Dance Coordinator Tracy Yates, along with
tour de force guest artist Yvonne Hernandez, Envision Dance has infused Romeo
& Juliet – A Hip Hop Love Story with a funky, fiery edge and
sound. As always, Canyon
Crest has drawn on the talents of guest artists to enrich the creative
experience of its students, so Romeo
& Juliet – A Hip Hop Love Story
features the choreography of guest artists Anthony Rodriquez of Eveoke Dance
Theatre, Ryan Beck of the Garage Dance Company, Annie Boyer of Sean Curran
Company, and more.

Mexourari, Briana McCloskey, Andrey Musyutin, Sophie Needelman, Olivia Olmstead,
John Plecha, Samantha Pierce, Pascalle Rodriquez, Nick Shank, Rachel Stone,
Karli Sultzbaugh, Kimberly Tsu, Haley Young,
Brooke Zakouri.
With cutting edge hip hop, talented dancers, and some of the best
choreographers in San Diego this is a show that will no doubt bring the house
down. So come on out to CCA and see
what everyone is and will be talking about.
Romeo
& Juliet – A Hip Hop Love Story will be presented at CCA located
at 5951 Village Center Loop Road in San Diego in its beautiful proscenium
theatre. Shows are Thursday,
December 4th and Friday December 5th at 7:00 p.m., Friday,
December 5th at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 6th at
1:00 p.m. On Wednesday,
December 3rd, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. there will be a special free
performance for students of Carmel Valley, Earl Warren, Diegueno, and Oak Crest
Middle Schools with student i.d. Tickets
for all other shows range from $5 to $15. Tickets

unique, award-winning arts program which enriches the lives of all CCA students
through a wide variety of classes -- both during and after school -- through
opportunities for exploration and interaction with teaching artists in their
