Broadway
Theatre Arts Academy is performing “Seussical
Jr.” on July 24-August 1, 2009 at the Kit Carson Park Amphitheater as part
of Escondido’s Plays In the Park series.
The show includes young talent from Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, Poway,
Rancho Bernardo, Valley Center, Carlsbad, Oceanside and surrounding communities.
Performances
All
performances will be held at the Kit Carson Park Amphitheater
located at 3313 Bear Valley Parkway, just inside the park at the Mary Lane
entrance.

July 31st and August 1st performances will be
treated to a special preshow from our children’s summer camp of A
Year with Frog and Toad KIDS beginning
at 6:30pm.
Tickets
are $12 for adults and $10 for children 16 and under. All

So
says the mischievous Cat in the Hat at the onset of this fantastical, magical,
musical extravaganza! Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite
Year, Once On This Island, and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our
favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz,
Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!

Plays in the Park
Plays
in the Park returns to the Kit Carson Park Amphitheater for its 6th summer
season of musical theater. Three
community theater groups, Patio Playhouse, Broadway Theater Arts Academy and
PaccoArts are cooperating again to bring Escondido a summer of music under the
stars. There are 7 musicals and one musical review, running from July 3rd to
October 4th. You
