Runaways 224.jpg

Alexis Karol directs the fourth full length play produced by APA Theatre this year, Runaways, a play by Jay Christopher.

Troubled teenagers struggle with rejection in many different forms, including some cases where they are unable to go home, yet afraid to be alone.  They find solace with the help of two social workers at Runaway House, a haven for young people in distress.  Maddy Ducharme plays Linda who has just begun interning at the Runaway House working with staff members Bill and Anne (Stephen Stanec and Kayla Foley).  There she finds a constant influx of teenagers in need of a place to stay only to find out that her own sister has left home as well.

There are performances on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- February 4-6 at 7:30 pm in  Studio  (Black Box) Theatre  at Huntington Beach High School; 1905 Main Street. Huntington Beach, CA.   For further information call 714) 536-2514  Ext. 4205.  Tickets can be purchased on line at www.hbapa.org.
