ACT San Diego Presents

“Seussical the Musical”

At The Joan Croc Center

Jan 28 - Feb 5, 2011

SAN DIEGO (January 5, 2011) – Actors’ Conservatory Theatre (ACT- San Diego) presents Seussical the Musical, a musical extravaganza filled with toe-tapping tunes.  Seussical borrows its plot directly from the characters and occurrences in various Dr. Seuss children’s books. In fact, Seussical integrates the storylines from more than 20 of Seuss’ works, using each tiny town and bizarre species of creature as inspiration. The result is a production that takes the audience on an unpredictable ride through the depths of fantasy, from the miniature houses of Whoville to the wild greenery of the Jungle of Nool.

ACT- San Diego’s production comes to life through a promising local cast of rising young stars including some with professional stage credits.   The show is directed by Ira Spector, and the choreographer/music director is Kyrsten Hafso.  The live band will be led by Tim McKnight.
