Bio: Kelli Owens, a member of both the National Junior Honor Society of Secondary Schools and National Achievers Program, is no stranger to the stage.
     Last year, she worked on the stage crew on her middle School production of "The Music Man," and has claimed featured roles with the Orlando Repertory Theatre in productions of "Seussical: The Musical" and "Crazy for You." She also has appeared in several editions of the annual "Singing Christmas Trees" spectacular at First Baptist Church of Orlando, where she is a member.
     In her latest role, she will star in an Orlando Youth Theatre production of "Into the Woods (junior). As The Narrator, Kelli will spin this fractured fairy tale, propelled by a Stephen Sondheim score, in which Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and The Witch cross paths and ponder such ethical nuggets as self-responsibility and the consequences of individual actions buried within the bedtime tales with which we've all grown up.For Kelli, each role is another step that helps the curtain rise on towards her Broadway dreams.
     Acting "lets me be someone I'm not," Kelli says.
